Strategy decisions can reshape a landscape.  A good strategy can lead your forces to victory even against the greatest of odds.  A bad one can take a strong company and quickly make it a weaker one.  How can a manager control costs, set targets, and plan critical steps without a strategy?  Most would agree, it is impossible to manage without a strategy.   Of course there is a third option and that is a no strategy option followed by a fourth the strategy de jour.
